So, I am sure whoever reads this is sick of hearing about Lynx. Well. Too bad. hehe.

I heard back from the vet yesterday. He does have ring worm. meh. But, his mouth is healed up for the most part already(which that may have just been a scrape) and his tail looks a little bit better than it did before. He has to have this medicine put on his tail for a whole month! And he is supposed to stay away from the other animals that whole time as well. Hopefully he heals fast. He wants to play around the house sooo bad. And I want to not have to wash my hands after every time I pet him. Anyways, here are some pictures. I think he will be quite handsome when he grows up!

So, I am thinking I need to get a hobby. What, I'm not so sure. I have always wanted to get back into painting. I have tons of paints and canvas. But, I never know what to paint. Or I never have time. Maybe I need to MAKE time? Maybe Jeb and I should start something together. Then again, we pretty much do everything together except work! I feel like I am always so dang busy that I never really have time to just do something that I really enjoy. Maybe on Sunday I will take a few hours to myself. Or maybe I can do some crafty things with my Mom. That would probably be good. My mother is super talented and makes the prettiest jewelry and neatest artsy craftsy things. Hm. That sounds like a good idea.

It just dawned on me that my birthday is next Thursday. I will be 23. I'm not all that excited. Most everyone else my age has gotten a college degree, has a good job, starting a family....

Eh. I am grateful for what I have. But, I just want more.

i could use a nap

For some reason, I have been super tired lately. Probably for about a week, I just feel exhausted. I can barely get out of bed. And I end up finally getting up around 8, then rush to get to work. Jeb says I might be getting TOO much sleep. Hm, maybe I shouldn't hit the snooze button anymore.....

So, turns out kitty is a boy, 6 weeks old. We named him Lynx bc his little face kinda looks like a bobcat. And he has hair that sticks up from the top of his ears. Vet says he is very healthy, except possible ringworm. SO poor little guy is in our office, in Shirley's old crate. All he wants to do it run around. I feel so bad. I bought a cheap baby gate form Big Lots for ten bucks, so, when we are home, Lynx can at least run around in the office. This is probably not the best thing for him tho. He still needs to be watched. He really likes to climb and Jeb and I weren't paying attention and last night and he got his leg caught in something he was climbing on. All of a sudden Jeb and I heard this awful screeching/meowing sound! It was awful. I think I cried for a second. I was freaking out. Hahah.

Another good thing about the baby gate is that we can introduce Lynx to Luci and Shirley in a somewhat controlled environment I guess without having to worry about one of them jumping on top of him!

Lynx is still hissing once in a while, but I think he will calm down soon enough. He wants to play all the time, and he has figured out that if the door to the office is opened when hes in the crate, he can then climb on the inside and meow non stop, and I will then let him out. hehe. He is already spoiled.

Hopefully I will hear from the vet soon to know if he is okay to be around the other animals. If he does have ringworm, it is no big deal to treat, but its just a longer time in that dang crate.



I better go back to work. heh.

oh what a day

Today we had a customer come into our office saying they heard meowing in the bushes next to our parking lot. So, us girls go out to look and there is a kitten in the bushes!! It took us quite a while and about 5 people, but we finally got him out! I just couldn't have left him there making so much noise! So, Jeb came and took him home. He (we think) looks about 6-8 weeks old. Soooo tiny. Tomorrow I will take him to the vet to make sure he is okay to add to my family. Right now he is in Jeb's office. I think he is a little nervous/confused. One second he s happy and is laying on me, then when he walks away and i try to pet him, he hisses. I'm sure he will get over it after a while though. He probably doesn't know what to think of what has happened to him. Heh.

So, work is pretty slow today. There is actually barely anyone in the office. Hopefully we will be leaving around 4 30 today. Then I can go home, make something quick to eat and get ready for the next job!

I know my past few posts have been a little bit on the negative side. I'm not quite sure why. I am in some weird funk and I need to get out of it quick.

I really want to go up to our house in NY for 4th of july. I would like to do the whole camping thing, but I think it would be pretty cool to stay on OUR property (even though the other piece of land is kinda ours too). I absolutely love the cabin that my father built, and we could still ride 4 wheelers and do some camping. I mean, there are 79 acres. I'm sure we could find somewhere to pop the tent for a night. Heh. But, I feel like if we could just stay there for a long weekend I might be able to just relax and clear my head of some things. I really, REALLY need a vacation.

I am going to stick with blogspot. or blogger.com, whatever this one is called. I did create a blog on tumblr, and that website has better layouts and colors. However, I cannot "follow" other bloggers unless they are on tumblr. So, I would only be able to view Jeb's blog from that main page and on here i can just click the link on the side and whoosh! hehe. But, I think I got my page to look the way I want it to.

So, this morning I have had a serious weight lifted off of me. About that, I will just say that, at least they know now.

Today Jeb got new tires on his car, so Jake gave me a ride to work so Jeb could take my car to school. Well, when I got to work, my hair looked like a birds nest from riding with the top off the jeep. I think next time I plan to ride on the interstate in the jeep with no top, I will be more prepared and pull my hair back. Now my hair feels/looks gross. Meh. At least I have these for my snack :)

a real post?

Our trip to Parris Island was not as great as I expected.

We started off leaving on time Wednesday morning. For the most part the ride down there was okay. Before we knew it, we were about 20 miles outside of Beaufort! All of a sudden, a cop comes out of nowhere and flips his lights on and starts following us. SO, we pull over, and my parents pull over as well so we don't get separated from each other. Well, the cop first goes over to my mother and says she was going 40 in a 25, then comes to us and says we were going 43 in a 25. Sweet, so looks like we are getting a ticket. If mom had just driven off she probably would not have gotten pulled over because we think he only really saw us speeding. Anyways, moms ticket ended up being about 150, and ours was $189. SO LAME. SO. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were just super tense because we all were just ready to get Jake and take him home. FINALLY we get to leave Friday around noon. we are about 3 hours into our trip home, talking, laughing, listening to music, enjoying ourselves, when I notice that the car sounds really loud and thankfully we were getting off at an exit to fill up on gas. WELL as we pull off the back of the car starts vibrating some and I look out the window and see we have a flat tire!!!!! So, Jeb and my dad start to replace the tire and then it just starts pouring rain :( Lauren, Jeb, dad, Jake, and I are soaked. We also happened to notice that Jebs other rear tire is just about shot, so we now need 2 new rear tires.
So, even though we really didn't spend much money on this trip, it ended up being pretty expensive because of everything that happened!! But, it was worth it.
