camping

Every summer for the past.....7 years?....my family has gone on a camping trip to upstate new york where my parents own some property. Both of my parents are from there. Just a little town called Arkport, out in the middle of nowhere. But, most of my family is up there, and every summer we all look forward to our week of camping.

This summer was a lot of fun because Jeb and I actually had a lot of pretty cool camping gear. We went hiking, fishing, shooting and riding 4wheelers. We played volley ball, can jam, and ladder ball. Many people came to visit and we had a fire every night. The dogs wore themselves out by swimming in the pond every day. I only caught one little tiny fish. And I had almost got another...until my fishing line broke :( Jeb thinks he may have seen a wild cat.....and I got to meet my newest little cousin Emma Jane!


All in all Jeb and I had a lot of fun. But, I am REALLY looking forward to sleeping in my bed tonight!

let me tell you

Okay. So trash day is on Tuesdays at the oceanfront. And because my street is so small, everyone has to put their trash on the LEFT side, which is the side that my house is on. Whatever, no big deal....until you block my mail box, driveway, or leave your trash cans out for days. Or when its obvious that I will be putting my trash cans in a certain spot (next to MY car) you put yours somewhere else. You don't put them next to MY car so that I have to move them to back out. If there is no space, then you should take them down to the end of the street, just like everyone else. Common sense right? Now, I know this is just a petty little thing. But, seriously. When someone KEEPS doing small inconsiderate things, it gets annoying.

So, the point of my story is, DONT MESS WITH ASHLEY BRITTON. I WILL call the city of virginia beach on your lazy ass.

(I wonder if the city will actually do anything. hah)

this weekend was a blast

Fourth of July this year was great. Thursday night we went to Tommy and Marie's wedding, which was so much fun. We got to see some old friends and I met some new people. I probably drank too much wine, BUT I had fun! The ceremony was very nice and the weather could not have been more perfect. The food was delish and the music was good. Their first dance was to Metallica's "nothing else matters" Tommy played along with the song at the end. Way awesome. ha. They also had these neat photo booth there. I did cut out one pic of us and put it in their scrap book, but I had to keep the others!! They were just too cute!



Friday Jeb and I took Lynx to the vet for his first set of shots. Poor guy was sooo drowsy after. Then mom took me shopping for my bday! I got new bathing suit from target, new purse and a few other little things.

Saturday the family came over for a cookout for the 4th. Later, Jeb, jake and I all went down to the ocean front to watch the fireworks, which was very nice.

Sunday was super relaxed. Jeb and I slept so much! haha. We were quite tired. And now I am at work. Bored like always

yay! today is my birfddaaayyyyyy. I will leave work around noon today. Mom is going to take me out to lunch! yay! We might go to the mall and look around also. Then, Jeb and I have Tommy and Marie's wedding to go to tonight. Tomorrow Lynx has an appointment at 10. Saturday is 4th of July. This will be a nice, laid back 3 day weekend. I am pretty excited.
